There's alot of advanced acronyms like hrdekradda (hold right door erie keep rocket alive don't do anything) on the NUMA website that maybe not all noobs or non-english understands. It would be great with a topic that explained them. I mean ALL of them. Even AGD and such. But not common acronyms such as omg or noob or lotr. Only the ones related to NUMA.

Anyone who…
  • …finds an acronym they don't know the meaning of should post it here and wait for an explanation.
  • …finds an acronym which hasn't already been posted here should post it here.
  • …wants to use an acronym for something can check this topic and look if there is an acronym that fits.
  • …wants to make their own acronym should check this topic if there already is a similar one (we don't want thousands of unknown acronyms do we?).

The first time I logged in to NUMA I didn't know what DDA meant. Some things I can't understand even now. Please fellow n-players. Help the community!

'nid - Arachnid
5aved - Rated 5 + Favorited (you can also use 4aved, 4.5aved, etc.)
5avesized - Rated 5 + Favorited + Bitesized
DD - Death Demo
AGD - All Gold Demo
AGCD - All Gold Completion Demo
AGDD - All Gold Death Demo

APGD - All Possible Gold Demo

IMO this thread (or is it topic?) could be used for many things.

The first map I submitted to NUMA was an action map that I submitted as a DDA.

The acronyms are very, very confusing indeed.

There are barn doors and there are revolving doors. Doors in the rudders of big ships and there are revolving doors. There are doors that open by themselves. There are sliding doors and there are secret doors. There are doors that lock and doors that don't. There are doors that let you in and out but never open. And there are trapdoors...

...that you can't come back from.

This should probably all be on NUMA, actually, because people who are confused over there may not come to these forums and instead just post comments on maps asking what they mean - not that it's horribly wrong, it would just make more sense to give them the information at the site itself.

AMomentLikeThis - No, it should be fastest. This acronym is rarely used (I think) but if you look around a little maybe you'll se how users often writes "fastest" or "fastest demo yet" above their coments. I'm sure you already have.

i_forget - FAGD is very rare. I have only seen it twice. Maybe it shouldn't be on the list. And it's not quickest, it's fastest. Reed above.

maestro/spawn of yanni - Yeah, you're right. It would be great if the most used acronyms were accesable information on the site.

Chasethebase - Or maybe pinned. My wish is that this subject should be on the site, or pinned.

What dose ms/f mean? It's on the left corner in N. I only know the f stand for frame.

Yes, and the categories should be explained too -- for example, I see lot of clear action maps categorized as survivals or races.
